Private garden in Gullegem

The expansion of the house was accompanied by the creation of a swimming pool with pool house. I developed a concept with an important goal, viz. Being able to sit outside and swim as long as possible during spring and fall. Therefore, an enclosed garden was designed in which the pool house was placed at the back so as to block the wind coming from the open landscape behind it. In order not to lose the view of the open landscape, a window was installed at the back of the pool house. The sunken seating area ensures that table and chairs do not obstruct this view. The remaining part of the garden is kept very simple so that the view from the living room is directed immediately to the open landscape. This design creates a good balance between security and openness. Two different experiences that give residents a high quality of life.
