Rehabilitation of Deerlijk Sint-Lodewijk cemetery

Before this realization, the cemetery of Deerlijk Sint-Lodewijk was a desolate stone plain. Of the path structure, only the main axes were retained. The gray gravel was replaced with beige-colored semi-paving. A new form of ash delivery also came to the cemetery through the application of the AMA concept. Columbarium and urn crypt monuments were placed haphazardly between graves. Ash burial acquires an equal place among classical burials. The redevelopment plan also provided for a complete greening of the cemetery. Earth and gravel paths were seeded with grass, flowering perennials were planted between the burial rows, and 33 hornbeams were planted across the entire cemetery, which in the near future will transform the cemetery into a true park cemetery. Deerlijk Saint-Lodewijk has added a large unique green lung with this magnificent realization.
