Provincial Domain Raversyde

For the provincial Domain Raversyde, we developed a landscape vision rooted in the site’s unique, layered history. The outdoor space is not approached merely as a backdrop, but as an essential part of the narrative, where the traces of the vanished fishing settlement Walraversijde and the military structures of the Atlantikwall are interwoven. Through targeted interventions in topography, robust native planting, and carefully framed sightlines, a landscape emerges that reinforces the strength of the place while offering a clear and legible experience for visitors.

The new architectural volumes are embedded within the landscape as a “village of bunkers,” blurring the boundary between building and environment and creating a cohesive whole. With this design, we aim for a forward-looking and resilient landscape that brings together heritage, nature, and use.
