Master plan Bargepark Beernem

Client

Beernem city council

For the redevelopment of Bargepark in Beernem, we developed a design based on the concept of garden rooms, as the site brings together different users. By dividing the park into recognizable green rooms, each target group is given its own space, while maintaining cohesion. For the local scout hall, we are creating a meeting zone that offers space for gatherings, games, and informal activities in a robust, natural setting.

Adjacent to this, we are setting up an adventure playground with natural elements such as tree trunks and relief, which can be used by both youth groups and individual visitors. The heart of the design is an organically designed green park environment that is completely enclosed to create peace and security. This screens the park from the adjacent rugby field and police station.

Within this oasis of greenery, we are providing a central water feature surrounded by a bench and open grass areas where visitors can relax. Thanks to a direct connection to the police station, employees can also spend their breaks here in a pleasant, green environment. The conversion ensures that every user has the necessary infrastructure, while all the garden rooms together form a coherent, high-quality park.
