The renovation of this cemetery has not only breathed new life into the site but also added a beautiful space where farewells can be said with dignity. The landscape was designed to make use of the sloping terrain that majestically stretches around the grounds. This natural relief is now embraced by large, monumental retaining walls that guide visitors along a path that is more than just a connecting route. On these walls, strong and serene, the words “ars moriendi” and “ars vivendi” are inscribed. These phrases translate to “the art of dying” and “the art of living.” The inscriptions invite reflection, reminding us that life and death are merely two sides of the same coin.

The path, flanked by columbarium and urn vault monuments, carries the stories of those who rest here, those who came before us and encourage us to celebrate their lives, even in their absence. At the end of this long, contemplative walkway, a ceremonial farewell area unfolds. Here, where the path reaches its climax, a stunning view reveals itself. It is a place where farewells merge with the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
