Hooglatem residential park

A very important objective in the design of the subdivision at Hooglatem was the construction of dykes and water control installations in order to create water safety. After the architectural company had worked out the design of the water control, roads and residential houses, we were called in to anchor it all in an ecological landscape park. In the process, attention was paid to creating a connection between Keistraat and Tussen Beken. A redevelopment plan was drawn for the Tussen Beken playground so that it becomes an attractive place as a gateway to the residential area. A wooden bridge will provide a comfortable connection between the two residential areas separated by a moat. The canal will be widened for water buffering. The banks will be planted with large reed beds. A natural area anchors itself with the residential areas. Tree lanes and solitary trees, an orchard, adventurous play areas, intensively and extensively managed meadows and open canals will create a contemporary ecological residential park.
